"I have twice been with the Borland Agency. The first time I left was because of poor administrative support, I did not receive written receipts or timely responses to my questions, so I left. Insurance is a creature of contract and contracts are governed by written documents. I'm a lawyer and quite particular about matters being in writing and interpretations of coverage. I returned a few years later and was personally assured by Ms. Borland of better attention to details. I continued with the Borland Agency for years until some matters got murky, inaccurate legal conclusions on coverage and Ms. Borland was unable or unwilling to unravel the problems in a face-to-face meeting. In fact, I found her ability to deal with compound or complex matters to be left incomplete or unanswered whether purposeful or simply inattentive. I wrote numerous times asking to "settle the dust" . I wanted to stay with her Agency. I found her administrative staff to be excellent. I primarily dealt with them and disliked the prospect of jumping to another agency. Nevertheless, Ms. Borland failed or refused to meet with me to "settle the dust" resolve the problem even with a complaint to State Farm, she was steadfast in losing me as an insured instead of having a meeting. Thus, in matters that are compound or complex, Ms. Borland distinguished herself as shrinking from answering or dealing with difficult matters, so I left for another agency. While Ms. Borland can be pleasant, I was disappointed with her refusals and ignoring my requests. Her administrative staff will be missed; I liked them and their cordial and immediate responses to my questions."
